Every once in a while I get the opportunity to review a sex toy that is not available (yet!) in North America. TotalJoy is a sex toy company out of Holland (Netherlands) who create “healthy” silicone dildos and vibrators from “medically safe materials”. I actually found them after reviewing the Milkmaid Dildo by Studio Oooms [my review], a company who is also responsible for the designs behind TotalJoy’s products.
TotalJoy sent me their limited edition Barbabelle in coral rose for review and I am thrilled. The Barbabelle looks a bit like a mod rabbit or dual stimulation vibe. The outer coating is silicone but inside it has a thick, spongy material that gives TotalJoy’s sex toys a very unique feel. I assume this is a softer layer of silicone and it makes the toy feel firm, yet elastic, so it grooves to your body shape.
The Barbabelle has a very lovely and prominent G-spot head that feels amazing as it squishes against your pleasure zone, feeling like a firm massage. The vibrations from this toy are actually quite good, and I was surprised at how well they transmit through the material. Barbabelle is also waterproof, which is a big bonus for any vibrator.
Both the spongy feel and the strong vibrations made this toy an orgasmic delight to masturbate with. I just love the way it massaged me and even with the soft texture, it was firm enough to pound my G-spot to sweet climatic bliss.
My only criticism with this vibrator and TotalJoy is that their products are not available in North America. If you are in the UK you can buy them via their website.
