Vaginas Come in All Sizes and Shapes
If you have ever watched a porn video or seen a female porn star, most of them are shaved, have had labiaplasty (a plastic surgery procedure that alters the lips around the vulva) and have been photo-shopped on top of that. While men often worry about their genital size and shape, this is also a secret concern for many women as well. Many women wonder, if their vagina is normal, in comparison to the unrealistic vaginas we see in porn.
Is my vagina normal?
The truth is, there is no “normal” or average vagina. Vaginas come in all different kinds of shapes, sizes and colors, as you can see by the photos here in this labia library. So no matter how your vagina looks, it is normal for you.
Different Shapes of Vaginas
When most people refer to the vagina, they are actually talking about the outer part of the female genitalia called the vulva. The vulva includes all the lady bits on the outside of the genitals: public mound (where the hair grows), clitoral glans, urethra, vaginal opening, as well as the major and minor labia, or lips. The vagina is the muscular canal that connects the uterus to the outside world, from cervix to the vaginal opening.
The vulva gets its unique appearance due the the size and shape and folds of the labia majora and labia minora, so the shape of your vagina will look different based on those attributes. And, keep in mind, that the shape of the vulva lips are not symmetrical. So one side may be longer than the other side, or a different shape, like the petals of a flower.
The outer lips may be long and thin or thick and puffy. The inner lips may be hidden beneath the closed outer lips, or may hang out lower than the outer lips as well. No two lips (tulips!) are quite a like!
What the Inside of the Vagina is Like
As mentioned above, the vagina, is a long elastic tube that can contract and expand like an accordion, to accommodate a penis during love making as well as during childbirth.
The vagina is also called the birth canal, and during childbirth, stretches to many times its normal width in order to deliver the baby. After childbirth, the vaginal usually goes back to its original state 6-8 weeks after delivery. Often, after childbirth a woman’s vagina will be slightly larger than is was beforehand, which is why many women do kegels to make their vaginal muscles stronger and tighter again.
Various Sizes of Vagina
The length of the vagina varies from person to person from 2.5 to 5 inches in length. During sex, the vaginal canal will lengthen to accommodate penetration. Sexual arousal makes the uterus and cervix lift upward, causing the rest of the vagina to lengthen.
Also, according to research, the height and the age of a woman will have an impact on the size of her vagina. Therefore, a taller person may have a longer vagina, whereas a shorter person will have a shorter vagina in terms of size.
Different Colors of the Vagina
The color of each individual vagina will also vary in color, based on that person’s natural skin tone from pink to wine, and red or burgundy. As the blood engorges the vulva during sexual arousal, it may flush to a purple tone, and deepen in color as well. Medical conditions such as a yeast infection can also change the color appearance of the vulva as well. But, slight variations in color during various times of the month, or due to sexual arousal shouldn’t be a concern.
What are the Other Differences in Vaginas?
- Hair: As I already noted about, in most porn videos free, the porn stars don’t have pubic hair. However, pubic hair protects the vagina from infection. Excessive pubic hair can also be a sign of a medical condition like polycystic ovary syndrome. However, the amount of pubic hair, as well as color and texture varies a lot in women.
- Discharge: In Marc Dorcel XXX ➨ Strip2.xxx, rated porn movies, you will see women discharging fluids from the vagina. Vaginal discharge is there for a reason. It helps lubricate the tissues and keep the vagina healthy. The color or thickness of this fluid may indicate a medical condition, especially if it has a foul odor.
- Smell: The smell of your vagina or its discharge can also change depending on the person, the time of the month, or even from what you eat, from sweet smelling to a metallic odor, which is normal. If, you notice a bad smell, this can warn you that you may have an infection.
- Bleeding: During the menstrual cycle, blood flows from the vagina. Menstruation flow varies from person to person and period to period.
Final Thoughts
As you can see, there is no normal type of vagina. Every woman’s vagina is unique and beautiful, like a flower. So, there is no need to worry if your vagina is normal, because Yes!, it is normal for you.
